Kathleen Bühler

Kathleen Bühler studied art history, film studies and philosophy and received her PhD at the University of Zurich. Her dissertation is about the production of experimental film of Carolee Schneemann (Marburg 2009). Since 2008 she is curator and head of department for contemporary art at the Kunstmuseum Bern. Before she was curator at the Museum zu Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen, at the Kunstmuseum des Kantons Thurgau Kartause Ittingen, at the Schweizerische Landesmuseum, at the Flick Collection in Zurich and she also worked as curator at the Bünder Kunstmuseum in Chur. 2002 to 2007 she wrote a number of critics of exhibitions for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. She regularly publishes articles about contemporary art for catalogues and newspapers.
