AFTERLIVES
Narrative, instructive and occasionally visual, a recipe is a story as much as it is a document and a guide. As Wendy Wall observes in her essay Afterlives, recipe books may serve as a form of commemoration as a « community diary, or memento of place and relationship » - all functions shared by this « recipe book, »produced to follow the 2012 Sommerakademie im Zentrum Paul Klee, Bern, Switzerland which was directed by Marta Kuzma under the theme Tin Soldiers and Nixon Coming.
