Corinne Charpentier
Corinne Charpentier (b. 1970) is the director of the Kunsthalle Freiburg (CH), Fri-Art since september 2007 where she recently curated numerous exhibitions including "Corporate Everything", "Lapses", and solo shows by Amy O'Neill, Peter Coffin, David Renggli, amongst others. The next show will be a solo show by Latifa Echakhch.The program developed in Fribourg is mainly relating to the construction of identities as well as the modalities of knowledge.
She has previously worked as the director of the contemporary art centre "Synagogue de Delme " in France, from 2002 to 2007, where she curated shows by Pae White, Dan Walsh, Peter Downsbrough, Philippe Decrauzat, Marc-Camille Chaimowicz (...) and ran a residency program for young international artists (Katinka Bock, Stephen Wilks, Michael Blum...). She is also advisor for the contemporary art collection of the Rhône Alpes Region.
