Thomas Hirschhorn
Thomas Hirschhorn (*1957 Bern/Switzerland) lives and works in Paris. His spacious and labyrinthine installations are made of everyday materials, like wood, cardboard, duct tape, plastic and silver foil. He adds these found materials to a collage with quotes from the press and literary or philosophical writings of Robert Walser and George Bataille. He has participated in exhibitions all over the world, writes regularly for magazines and publications on art and has lectured in Germany, America, UK and France.
