Herbert Lachmayer

Herbert Lachmayer studied Philosophy, Sociology and Art History in Vienna, Frankfurt / Main and Berlin. His teaching positions have led him to Berlin, Vienna and London. He is professor at the Institute of Fine Arts and Cultural Studies at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz, and director of the "Art & Tek Institute” Linz. In 2000 he founded the Da Ponte Research Center for Librettology, Don Juan research and Collection History in Vienna. Herbert Lachmayer was curator of "Experiment Aufklärung", the official exhibition for the Mozart Year 2006 of the City of Vienna at the Albertina.
