Gürsoy Dogtas
Gürsoy Dogtas (*1975, in Hannover, Germany) lives and works in Munich.
He studied Art History, Philosophy and Phsychology at the University of
Hamburg and visual art at the Academy for Fine Arts in Hamburg. Since 2005 he is publishing Matt Magazine an Artistzine.
Several institutions have produced solo exhibitions of his work
accompanied by a relaese of his magazine, for example the Basso in
Berlin, Lothringer 13 in Munich, Les Complices in Zurich,Galerie Hafen &
Rand, Projektroom Bar Hamburg or Golden Poodle Club in Hamburg.
He has taken part in group shows as for instance at .artSümer in
Istanbul ("A wink makes the worl become world"), at Kunstverein
Galerie5020 in Salzburg ("Bild Macht Wissen", at Ludlow38 / New York
(The inaugural exhibition: publish and be damned or at Projectroom
"Tanzschule" in Munich ("Wollen und Vorstellen").
