Clémentine Deliss
Clémentine Deliss, curator, independent publisher. Since April 2010, Director of Museum of World Cultures (Museum der Weltkulturen), Frankfurt. Studied contemporary art and social anthropology in Vienna, London and Paris and holds a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Since 1996 producer and publisher of the writers’ and artists’ organ Metronome, launched at the Dakar and Venice biennales; the Kunsthalle Basel; DAAD, Berlin; documenta X and documenta 12; Galerie Chantal Crousel, Paris; Kandada/CommandN gallery, Tokyo. From 1999-2000, Guest Professor at the Städelschule, Frankfurt. Between 2003-2010 director of Future Academy at Edinburgh College of Art with student research cells in Senegal, India, Europe, Australia, USA, and Japan. In 2007, initiated Randolph Cliff artists’ residency programme together with Edinburgh College of Art, National Galleries of Scotland, University of Edinburgh, and patron Charles Asprey. Recent artists: Thomas Struth, Frances Stark, Dexter Sinister, Ei Arakawa, Manfred Pernice, Joseph Kosuth, Dan Peterman, and others.
